Location
The Social Science Reference Library is located on the 8th floor of the Sewell Social Science Building, in room 8432. It is easiest to enter the building at the main entrance behind the bell tower. This is the 6th floor. After entering the building, take the very long hallway directly back into the building (toward the lake), pass through a glass door, and use the elevators on the left. When you arrive on the 8th floor, the library is directly opposite the elevators.
Directions
The Sewell Social Science Building is located at the corner of Observatory Drive and Charter Street.
Deliveries: To get to the Sewell Social Science Building from University Avenue, turn North (right) on Charter Street off of University Avenue (traveling West). Charter Street dead-ends in a turn-around at the building's loading dock entrance.
Public: Unfortunately, there is no public parking anywhere near the Sewell Social Science Building. The closest public parking is located in the Lake Street parking ramp, just north of University Avenue. After exciting the ramp, walk west up Bascom Hill. The Sewell Social Science Building is near the top of the hill, along Observatory Drive, and across the street from Ingraham Hall.
